Madison’s Best Cheap Eats 2008

Our Mad Diners have chosen their favorite place to go when they are watching their wallets. This year a tried and true chain restaurant made it to the top of the pile, something that is unusual in our Mad Dining Awards finalists!
First Place: Noodles and Company
Second Place: Laredo’s
Third Place: Pasqual’s
Ironically, the restaurants coming in third and fourth have now closed their doors. We bid farewell to Fork and Spoon Cafe and Mad Dog’s Chicago Style Eatery. We enjoyed both establishments and are sorry to see them go.

Thank you for the nice comment. It is sad to see the Fork and Spoon close. I was one of my dreams but I was spread too thin as it was with the production facility. I personally will miss it but it makes me feel good to know that people liked it. Who knows, maybe it will be a summer spot because of the park and bike path. Kudos to all of our customers for supporting us, thank you.
