And yet another JT Whitney’s Update

JT Whitneys

It seems the continuing saga of the closing of JT Whitney’s has now come to an end.  We’ve been informed that there is new ownership and the building lease has been finalized as of this afternoon.

JT Whitney’s is scheduled to re-open under new ownership as of Friday soon.   A message from the previous management, as he moves on to concentrate on his Oregon establishment, Hawthorn’s:

“I only wish the best for JT Whitney’s, the staff and the great customers that have been there over the years.”

We wish them (continued? renewed?) luck.

I think we can thank Dave for starting some great traditions. I won’t mind stoping at Hawthornss, although I rarely get down to Oregon. Good Luck to the new Chiefs!

I have gift coupons, will I be able to use them when you re-open
and do you know when you will be open? Thank you.

I hope that this will bring improvement to JT Whitney’s. We had been there a few times over the past and enjoyed the food, and the environment. Just recently, my fiance and I stopped in for lunch after the fishing expo. It was Sunday, and the brunch buffet was open and we were planning to order from the menu. We were seated with menus, and after 25 minutes of having a few different waitresses pass our table numerous times not saying anything to us, we got up and left. Even as we were leaving, nothing was said to us. So I do hope that new ownership will lead to better experiences, because we really did enjoy our first visits there.

I drove by JT Whitney’s on Tuesday (3/31) and saw the “space for lease” sign and the “closed for business” notice still on the doors. Are they reopening or not?

This has been a favorite brewpub of mine for several years; however as another person had mentioned the quality had significantly dropped over the past year. If they reopen I hope the former quality in beer and food will return with it. If not, I will remember the brewpub how it was in better times.

Any news on this? This is a great location for a brew-pub, I hate having it closed right now.

don’t know what it means but I saw the sign out front tonight for public notice to apply for city of madison alcohol license. hearing at lussier center on gammon tommorow. Hopefully it moves along smoothly…
